Ardbeg 8 Years For Discussion is een robuuste goudgele whisky afkomstig uit de Islay regio van Schotland. Deze variant heeft acht lange jaren mogen rijpen, waardoor er een stevig aroma ontstond van houtskool en teer. Verder bloeien er licht zoete tonen op van romige melkchocolade, stroop en iets plantaardig zoals groene paprika, venkel en selderij.

Neus: geurig en aromatisch, tonen van lavendel, vetiver en wierook. Dit wordt gevolgd door diepere tonen van leer, amandel en was. Een vleugje water en de geur wordt houtachtig, rokerig en muntachtig.

Kleur: licht goud. Neus: tonen van rijp boomgaardfruit, wat rook, romige vanille, toffee appels, rode appels, gerst mout en een hintje turf. Smaak: een fraaie balans tussen fruitigheid en room, tonen van herfstfruit, lichte rook, turf en kruiden en specerijen.

Neus: Rood fruit, verse kersen, heidebloesem en intense turfrook. Smaak: Witte druiven, fudge, gezouten karamel en tabaksblad met golven van rijke rook. Afdronk: toffee, rijke kruiden, vanille en langdurige turfrook.

Kleur: oranje-koper tot goud Geur: zeezout met geroosterde sinaasappelschil, limoenmarmelade met aardbeiensiroop en ouderwetse kolenbunkers/-kits. Geef hem een paar minuten en de combinatie van ingelegd fruit en zee invloeden wordt een heerlijke mix.
