Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance.

Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay, where only the bravest souls dare to venture. Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram.

In 2009, Jim Murray's Whisky Bible named Ardbeg Uigeadail 'World Whisky of the Year' – in praise of its “utter silky brilliance' and “complexity on a level only a handful of distilleries in the world can even dream of reaching.' Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced 'Oog-a-dal') is a special vatting that marries Ardbeg's traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks.

De distilleerderij Bruichladdich is de meest westelijk gelegen distilleerderij in Schotland. Rijdend langs de zeearm Loch Indaal kom je in het dorpje Bruichladdich, waar de gelijknamige distilleerderij staat. Bij helder weer kun je aan de overkant Bowmore zien liggen.

Met de vierde reguliere Machir Bay heeft Kilchoman naar eigen zeggen de kwaliteit bereikt die ze met hun standaardbotteling voor ogen hadden. Om die reden heeft deze editie voor het eerst geen aanduiding meer van de jaargang.

This limited edition 2008 Vintage is a vatting of fresh ex bourbon barrels filled in July 2008 and bottled in August 2015. This is the latest in a continuation of the by-annually released Vintage range, with previous bottlings of 2006 and 2007 vintages.

Neus: groots en meeslepend met gerookte bacon, zachte donkere kruiden met zilte en zoute invloeden. Smaak: de mond loopt over van zilte invloeden met daarbij eikenhout en rood fruit. Afdronk: rijk, lang en buitengewoon smaakvol.

Geur Start met intense kampvuur-rook gebalanceerd met rijp & zomers steenfruit; perzik, pruim en kers. Diepe hinten van marsepein blijven hangen in combinatie met mooi gelaagde maritieme geuren. Smaak Peper en kruiden op de eerste smaak.
