De Ben nevis is 8 jaar oud. Volledig gerijpt op een ex bourbon vat en afgevuld op een sterkte van 52.7%. Slechts 120 flessen beschikbaar.  De whisky opent op de neus wat jong, geuren van jeneverbes, ontbijtgranen, vanille en new make.

Neus: (boot) lak in de zon, cola snoepjes met anijsdrop, warm eikenhout en donkerrood fruit Smaak: de geuren gaan op de tong verder als menthol vermengt met anijs en kersentaart met gekarameliseerde banaan en een vleug eikenhout.

Neus: chocolade toffee, bijenwas met daarna Pain au Chocola die lichtelijk gebrand zijn. Smaak: een olie gestookte kachel, zwarte koffie en ingelegde rozijnen met behoorlijke invloeden van droge rook. Finish: als een "echte" Islay betaamt, lang

The assembly of this 2008 vintage is composed of 71% Pinot Noir and 29% Chardonnay. A total of 18 crus can be find in the blending, mostly Aÿ and Verzenay for Pinot Noir and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant for Chardonnay.

Nose: wonderfully redolent of the salty seas, mixed with honey and burnt raisins. Palete: early tobacco merges into peat and spices, bonded with malt and warm suger. Finish: Mocha flavour to the fore with sweet barley, and sweeter home-baking.
