De Morrison familie was in vroeger tijden eigenaar van o.a. de Bowmore distilleerderij op Islay en de Glengarioch Distillery in de Speyside. De huidige generatie van de familie Morrison is al langere tijd bekend als onafhankelijke bottelaar van o.a.

Onafhankelijk bottelaar Douglas Laing is het Schotse familiebedrijf achter de Remarkable Regional Malts en viert het 10-jarige bestaan van hun Islay Malt met een heerlijke gedenkwaardige 10 jaar oude limited edition van Big Peat.

Proces: De Organic Single Malt is gemaakt van 100% biologisch Schots gerst, die zorgen voor een kwalitatieve, pure spirit. De ketels zijn afgesteld om fruitige tonen naar boven te halen in de New Make Spirit.

Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance.

Corryvreckan takes its name from the famous whirlpool that lies to the north of Islay, where only the bravest souls dare to venture. Swirling aromas and torrents of deep, peaty, peppery taste lurk beneath the surface of this beautifully balanced dram.

Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced 'Oog-a-dal') is a special vatting that marries Ardbeg's traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks.

Fusion of unique and rare elements, and clouded in secrecy, Signet is the culmination of a lifetime's experience. A blend of Glenmorangie's oldest whisky - distilled over thirty years ago when malting still occurred on site – and spirit matured in a selection of the world's finest casks, this undoubtedly is the richest whisky in their range.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a great whisky of Walker. This whisky sets the standard, with a zillion aroma manual selected layers, rare vessels from all Scottish regions. The aromas are affected by the smoke from the west coast and the rich, sweeter whiskeys from the East Coast.

The nose is creamy and lemony, before a silky-smooth medium-bodied palate that still packs a peaty punch. The finish is dry, sooty

Neus: aardbeien met room, pecannoten, roomijs met stroopwafels, potloodslijpsel, menthol en een pufje houtrook. Smaak: tropisch fruit, rode kersen, appeltaart en ongezouten pinda’s met karamel. Nootmuskaat en rabarber. Afdronk: heerlijk zoet en verwarmend met nootjes en zoete kruiden.

Het is 1797 wanneer John Sinclair, een vernieuwende kelp handelaar, de aanvraag indient om een stuk land te leasen genaamd Ledaig. (spreek uit als Letch-ik). Ledaig betekent veilige haven. Na een initiële afwijzing bleef Sinclair volhouden en een jaar later was de distillery geboren.
