Een unieke Scotch met een bijzonder verhaal. Deze whisky is per ongeluk ontstaan op een eiland met een rijke geschiedenis, verbonden aan de Clan MacLean. Een combinatie van een 18-jarige island malt (geen Islay) en een vleugje 3-jarige graanwhisky (minder dan 0,1%) heeft geleid tot deze onverwachte creatie.

Old Particular Ledaig 16YO Sherry Butt is een single malt, single cask whisky die speciaal is gebotteld voor de achtste editie van The Dutch Dram Masters. Deze whisky werd gedistilleerd in September 2016 in de beroemde Ledaig Distillery.

Het is 1797 wanneer John Sinclair, een vernieuwende kelp handelaar, de aanvraag indient om een stuk land te leasen genaamd Ledaig. (spreek uit als Letch-ik). Ledaig betekent veilige haven. Na een initiële afwijzing bleef Sinclair volhouden en een jaar later was de distillery geboren.

Eerst fris met pruimen, bessen en kersen waarna noten in chocolade en kruidnagel over nemen. Het mondgevoel is stevig met sinaasappel, (brandend) eikenhout, peper en weer die chocolade tonen. Een krachtpatser met karakter.

Scarabus Batch Strength laat je kennismaken met een krachtige Islay whisky die verdergaat waar de reguliere Scarabus whisky 70cl stopt. Krachtige en uitgesproken tonen van rook, turf en de nodige maritieme invloeden zijn aanwezig.

Arran 10 Years Single Malt is een heerlijke amber kleurige single malt scotch whisky afkomstig uit de Arran regio van Schotland. Hij heeft voor tien jaar lang mogen rijpen waardoor er een zeer aangenaam zoet aroma ontstaat van romige vanille met een vleugje kaneel dat zorgt voor een lekker kruidig randje aan zijn algemene geur profiel.

Neus: aardbeien met room, pecannoten, roomijs met stroopwafels, potloodslijpsel, menthol en een pufje houtrook. Smaak: tropisch fruit, rode kersen, appeltaart en ongezouten pinda’s met karamel. Nootmuskaat en rabarber. Afdronk: heerlijk zoet en verwarmend met nootjes en zoete kruiden.
