Deze 11 jaar oude whisky kreeg een finish op hogshead en puncheon Palo Cortado sherryvaten. Palo Cortado behoort tot de zeldzaamste sherrystijlen uit Andalusië en verenigt de droge finesse van Fino met de nootachtige en donker fruitige invloeden van Oloroso.

In de Friese whisky stokerij Us Heit Distillery uit Bolsward wordt een bijzondere single malt whisky gestookt, genaamd Frysk Hynder. Ambachtelijk gedistilleerd met alle eigenschappen van het ras- echte Friese paard: krachtig, eigenzinnig en in een uiterlijk fraaie vorm gegoten.
