In 2009, Jim Murray's Whisky Bible named Ardbeg Uigeadail 'World Whisky of the Year' – in praise of its “utter silky brilliance' and “complexity on a level only a handful of distilleries in the world can even dream of reaching.' Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced 'Oog-a-dal') is a special vatting that marries Ardbeg's traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks.

A highland single malt distilled september 2003 & bottled 2021, matured in bourbon cask  Cask no: 801285 17 Years old

Neus: citrus en sinaasappel met boenwas, gekuild gras, droge chocolade, zachte toffee en vanille. Smaak: de smaken belanden midden op de tong en lopen even later door naar het einde van de tong, om vervolgend de keel te verwarmen.

Neus: Fruitcake, bessengelei, diepe kruiden en eikenhout,. Smaak: Zilte chocolade met mint en eikenhout en kruiden Afdronk: Lang en heerlijk verwarmend.

A Sweet and fruity nose teases indulgent notes of orange blossom, honeycomb, ripe bananas, rich toffee, caramel wafers, and butterscotch. On the palate there's Stroopwafel, sultana cake and orange peel, with darker things including sweet liquorice, cacao nibs, brambles, and charred twigs underneath.

Neus: Iets “stoffige” geuren (warehouse). Een combinatie van bloemen, kersen, bessen, eikenhout, sinaasappellikeur, pure chocolade en een snufje munt Smaak:  sinaasappel, het eikenhout , chocolade en vooral de witte kruiden de boventoon voeren.

Neus: Smeulend eikenhout, ingelegd gras met een parfum van turf. Smaak: “beschaafd” rokerig met boterkoek en wit fruit. Afdronk: lekker rokerig wat overgaat in zoet.

New make whisky made at the Mars Shinshu Distillery was transported all the way to the Mars tsunuki distillery in kagoshima for storage. Made with shinshu's distilling equipment and aged in the warmer region.
