The NV Pedro Ximénez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/ amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer.
A pristine style focused on linden tree, white flowers, lemon pulp, tangerine zest and chalk, showing a somewhat austere profile on the nose. Light-bodied, it shines with fine, lingering bubbles.

Kruiden, peer, limoen, rokerig, kersen. Stevig en droog, fruitig, mild, wel goede zuren.
The 2023 Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Bastia is brisk, vibrant and full of character. Nebbiolo-like color and light-bodied structure. Even so, the 2023 is delightful in its classicism.
Crushed blue fruits, menthol, licorice and baking spices are all nicely lifted in this delicate, understated Dolcetto. Like so many Dolcettos, the 2022 here is more finesse than power.
