The NV Pedro Ximénez Solera 1927 is non-vintage, but does have some 1927 material in it. This is totally dark brown/ amber with notes of figs, toffee, caramel syrup, molasses and coffee. It is dense, super sweet, intense, rich and an amazingly, unctuously textured, thick beverage to consume slowly and introspectively after a meal. Drink now through 2050, or even longer.
Plum and dark fruits with leather and spice. Juicy fruits on the palate and rounded supple tannins, medium-bodied and a refreshing, understated style.

The 2022 Cairanne la Brunote offers up notions of black truffles, black cherries and black licorice. Full-bodied and richly concentrated, it's almost creamy in texture, with a lingering finish. Yum.
The perfumed 2022 Vacqueyras is game on. Vivid orange blossoms, forest strawberries, violets, black cherry and a pinch of dried herbs paint an enticing, aromatic picture.

Tasted blind. Meat and animal notes on the nose. The palate is juicy, with robust yet fine tannins and a tobacco-and-cigar note alongside savoury, olive notes. Needs some time to show itself.
