In 1964 bepaalde het Amerikaanse Congres dat een Bourbon Whisky aan een aantal criteria moest voldoen: 1) moet in de VS worden gemaakt; 2) moet worden gewonnen uit een granenmix met minstens 51% mais; 3) tot een alcoholgehalte van maximaal 80% vol mag worden gedistilleerd; 4) voor 100% natuurlijk moet zijn; 5) de whisky moet in nieuwe, geschroeide vaten van Amerikaans eiken worden gerijpt.  Voor Straight Bourbon gelden nog enkele aanvullende eisen, zo moet deze minstens twee jaar hebben gerijpt.

Omschrijving De Millstone 92 Rye Whisky is een 4 jaar oude rogge whisky van Zuidam Distillers in Baarle Nassau. Gedistilleerd in mei 2013 en gebotteld in juli 2017 op 92 proof oftewel 46%.

Proces: De Organic Single Malt is gemaakt van 100% biologisch Schots gerst, die zorgen voor een kwalitatieve, pure spirit. De ketels zijn afgesteld om fruitige tonen naar boven te halen in de New Make Spirit.
